I300: HCI Design
Idea:
- When explaining interaction design goals/principes (usable, pleasing, etc) start with an example before you introduce the term, then show the term, along with a picture of the example. Build up the list of terms on the left hand side of the screen with their pictures. At the end of the lecture show the pictures and quiz the class on the goals. During the quiz the following week, show the pictures again, to give a cue. Encourage them to remember ALL of the goals.
Idea:
- Show the class current conceptual models/metaphors, then ask them to invert them. See if they come up with calm computing, etc.
