I just wanted to say that due to the double threat of Open Source Software and outsourcing to foreign workers, the software industry as we know it is effectively over. And in the course of my career, I intend to see to it that the idea of “professional programmer” dies with it. I wish to see the technology develop to the point where a biologist does programming without even knowing it.
