A few quotes today. Went out to Hartford last night for a birthday bash with a number of UConn folk. We went to see the fireworks in Hebron. Was fun. I would’ve liked to spend more time with that crowd while I was at UC. Was going to go to the beach today with Aaron but the weather was looking grim this morning. Seems to be getting nicer now, all too late.

“Since our theories are so far ahead of experimental capabilities, we are forced to use mathematics as our eyes. That’s why we follow it where it takes us even if we can’t see where we’re going.”

“I guess it made more sense to commit to nothing, keep my options open. And that’s suicide. By tiny, tiny increments”

Contrary to popular belief I am no longer on the AT. To be blunt, it wasn’t that fun for me to do alone and at length. I did 200 miles or something in about two weeks and that was enough for now. I think shorter trips (two weeks or less) with at least one other person to keep me company are awesome. I intend to keep hiking as such.

That’s all. I have been bumming around. I want to round up some folks (or be rounded up as the case may be) to go visit Cathy in Ithaca. That is, if I haven’t missed The Trip already. Other than that, expectations are insanely, wonderfully low.

Bed time.
