These are the three main projects I am committing soulpower to:
1) There are people doing amazing charitable work who need money and people who are geographically nearby who have money. The internet can bring these people together, leading to an explosive release of charitable energy.
2) The web is the platform of the future. It has nothing to do with HTML, it has to do with the client/server architecture and the standardized browser. Everything is moving onto the web. What problems haven’t been solved will be in the next few years by the Web 2.0 people. Given that this is happening, we know that the desktop shell (the Windows/MacOS interfaces) will become obsolete. This is a new role for the browser, and by redesigning it for this new role, we will accellerate the coming of this 100% web-based future, and all the benefits that come with it (lower development costs, a more competetive software marketplace, increased mobility for users, etc.)
3) Programmers have all the cool (read:powerful) toys. Programming is artificially hard. Every small amount of this power we can give to end users will be returned to us in spades in the form of increased productivity. Users have a well of creative power waiting to get out.
I believe in these projects because I believe they are all about tapping a vast resource of energy that is just waiting to be released.

blessings be upon you, my friend.
i’ll be working rather nearby.
